Counselling - how it works

Counselling provides a safe, confidential, supportive relationship for you to talk freely about whatever difficulties you are experiencing with an independent, non-judgemental professional. Together we can explore your unique experience to help you manage and make sense of your emotions. I will support you in this journey of self-discovery using my knowledge of various humanistic counselling theories to help you understand yourself, adapting my approach to meet your individual needs.

This may include exploring how your current situation has been shaped by your environment and your past experience so that you can let go of the unnecessary constraints of your past. I am committed to working with you to obtain insights that will empower you to overcome your challenges, make meaningful changes and build a more authentic, connected and satisfying life for yourself.

Counselling can help people to address a wide variety of commonly occurring issues including anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, depression, self-harm, stress, sleep problems, addiction, relationship problems, co-dependence, sexual and domestic abuse, trauma, bereavement, loss, life changes, grief, shame, work problems, perfectionism, procrastination, anger, low self-esteem, ADHD, autism and dyslexia.

If this sounds like something that may help you contact me to arrange a free 30 minute phone call in which we can start to explore your challenges and how I might be able to help you.
