About me
I am a compassionate, warm counsellor based at The Eaves Counselling and Psychology in Guildford, Farnham and Godalming. I meet adults in person to help them address a range of issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, abuse, trauma, bereavement, low self-esteem, perfectionism, relationship struggles, and stressful work situations. I will listen without judgement to whatever you choose to explore so that you feel heard, understood and accepted. My aim is to help you to understand and make sense of your experience of the world.
Counselling works best if you feel comfortable to talk openly with your counsellor so if you think I might be able to help you, contact me to arrange a free, 30 minute phone call. This is an opportunity for us to discuss your challenges and how I work and for you to ask any questions you may have. If you feel comfortable that I can help, we can arrange to meet in person.
Before starting my private practice I volunteered as a counsellor and mental health support worker in a number of settings including at The Eaves, in a bereavement support service, and in a university counselling service. Before starting my training as a counsellor I combined work as an animal health researcher with raising a family. My dyslexia diagnosis later in life has also given me lived experience of coping with neurodiversity.
